LONNIE JONES WINNER IN HAM SHOOT AT CAMP STRAUS Lonnie Jones (Cellophane . with a score of 23 out oj a powihl'j 50, won the grand prize in a Ham Shoot staged at Camp Straus on April 11. Five heats of ten rifle men each were staged with the win ners of each heat competing in a run-off match for a 10-pound ham. Each winner of the individual heats received a nice sport shirt as a prize. The five heat winners and their scores were'. 1st Meat—Lon nie Jones, 18; 2nd Heat—Harry Ballard 22; 3rd Heat—John Em ory, 21; 4th Heat—Jesse Ashe, 18; J>th Heat—0. K. Smathers, 13. In the Winner’s Heat the scores ran: Jones, 23/ Smathers, 14; Ballard, 14; Ashe, 12; Emory, 0. Marshall Hunnicutt fired the only direct bulls-eye of the match when he centered his No'.' 1 target in the Fourth Heat. Joe Perry also had a bulls-eye in the Third Heat, but the shot wasn’t centered.
