SPORTS SOFTBALL SEASON CLOSES WITH SCRUBS AS SERIES WINNERS The softball season closed at Ecusta with 324 games having been played and 451 employees hav ing participated in the games. The number of teams in the league was 19. Season play brought to the surface hidden talent and a host of ball players returned to the diamond to once again take a "cut” at the ball. Final series winners were the "Scrubs” who lost no games in the Play-off. This team with a heavy hitting line-up and under the strong pitch ing of Grover Suttles acquired the play-off cham pionship. There were tense moments in the series play. Good sportsmanship was an outstanding feature among the players and the spectators showed a fine spirit of appreciation. 15
