Gordon Allen Smith was born to Mr. and Mrs.
Oscar M. Smith, Jr. (Main Office) on September
3 at the Transylvania Community Hospital. He
tipped the scales at 7 lbs. 13 oz.
It is a girl for Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Miller
(Chemical and Casting). Marian Elizabeth was
born at the Transylvania Community Hospital on
September 7 and weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz.
Mr. and Mrs. John B. Sowell, Jr. (Mainten-
ance-Cellophane) are happy to announce the ar
rival of Sally Elaine. She was born on September
13 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Asheville and
tipped the scales at 7 lbs. 7 oz.
A boy, Terry Ray, was born to Mr. and Mrs.
Edgar H. McCall (Chemical & Casting) on Sep
tember 15 at the Transylvania Community Hos
pital and weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz.
William Richard Fanning was born to Mr. and
Mrs. Richard V. Fanning (Technical) at the
Transylvania Community Hospital on September
15 and weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz.
From the Finishing-Cellophane we have the
news of a baby girl, Brenda Jean, born to Mr. and
Mrs. Craig D. Snipes. She was born at the Tran
sylvania Community Hospital on September 15
and tipped the scales at 7 lbs. 4 oz.
On September 17 Phyllis Louise Bryson ar
rived at the Transylvania Community Hospital.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy L. Bry
son (Maintenance-Cellophane). Phyllis weighed
8 lbs. 3 oz.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rue (Cellophane Sales
Office) have announced the arrival of Scott Rue
at St. Paul, Minnesota on September 25. He
weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz.
Patricia Ann Parker is the new arrival at the
Alvin C. Parker household. She was born at the
Transylvania Community Hospital on Septem
ber 26 and weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz.
Fred Michael Hunter arrived on September 29
at the Transylvania Community Hospital. He is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Hunter (Tech
nical). He tipped the scales at 7 lbs.
It is a girl for Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Sorrells
(Finishing-Cellophane). Deborah Kay was born
at the Transylvania Community Hospital on Octo
ber 1 and weighed 7 lbs. 4Vi oz.
Elouise Madison arrived at the local hospital
on October 1, weighing 8 lbs. She is the daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Madison (Janitor-
Cellophane).
Mr. and Mrs. David R. Queen (Inspection) are
the proud parents of a baby girl, Diane Ruth, born
at the Transylvania Community Hospital on Octo
ber 3, and weighing 10 lbs. 5 oz.
Elizabeth Annette Nelson is the four months old
daughter of Air. and Mrs. Harold C. Nelson of
Brevard. Harold is employed in the Machine
Room. Mrs. Nelson is formerly of Fine Paper.
This husky young fellow (and future footballer?)
is Thomas Reid, six months old son of Mr. and
Mrs. Leo A. Reid of Brevard. Leo is employed in
the Ecusta Paper Division Storeroom.
