A scene at the Turkey Shoot at Camp Straus on November 21. DOUGLAS POTEET WINS TURKEY SHOOT Douglas Poteet.of the Process Control Depart ment walked off with the first prize, a turkey, at the Ecusta Turkey Shoot, held Saturday, Novem ber 21 at Camp Harry H. Straus. Doug won out in his qualifying heat to compete in the grand heat for the turkey. In the final heat, he posted a score of 20 points out of a possible 30, to nose out second-place winner Joe Perry. Joe accumu lated a total of 19 points. Sixty Ecusta employees participated in the shoot which was one of the most successful shoots held thus far. After the elimination heats and the shoot for the free turkey, many of the fellows joined in competition for other prizes which were rifled off by the Athletic Department. Two turkeys were rifled off and the winning sharp shooters were Harry Ballard and Furman Hooper. Other winners of the afternoon were "Hoss” Stamey, Curtis Chapman, Luther Norton, and Joe Perry.
