TEEN AGERS ENJOY CHRISTMAS DANCE One of the gayest occasions of the Holiday Season here at Ecusta was annual teen-age dance. The 1953 dance was held on Friday night, De cember 11 with Eva B. Boatwright and her orchestra furnishing the music. Shown above is a scene of the enjoyable activi ties of the evening as those attending enjoyed dancing, doing the Bunny Hop and singing Christ mas Carols during intermission. Refreshments were served throughout the evening. DR. GASQUE REPORTS FOR ACTIVE DUTY IN CALIFORNIA Dr. Mac Roy Gasque, Medical Director of the Ecusta Paper Corporation at Pisgah Forest, re ported for active duty to the Naval Air Station at Alameda, California on December 15. A native of Asheville, Dr. Gasque served 38 months in the U. S. Navy Medical Corps during World War II. Almost all of his active service was aboard the U.S.S. Wyoming. Dr. Gasque has served for the past four years as Secretary of the Transylvania County Medical Society. He is a member of the Industrial Health Committee of the North Carolina Medical Society, Secretary of the Section on Industrial Medicine and Surgery of the Southern Medical Association, District Councilor of the Industrial Medical As sociation, a member of the American Academy of Occupational Medicine, and for the past three years has been the North Carolina representative to the council of Industrial Health of the Ameri can Medical Association. During the past five years. Dr. Gasque has as sisted several industries in the country in the regi mentation of their medical program, and for the past two years has conducted lectures on industrial medicine at Bowman Gray and Duke University Medical Schools. 11
