YOUR GOOD SAFETY ATTITUDE HAS PAID OFF AGAIN i *> 300 HOURS a INJURY On March 8, 1954 we received a bulletin from the Statistical Division of the National Safety Council, advising that the PAPER DI VISION had finished in FIRST PLACE in the Pulp and Paper Section SAFETY CON TEST for 1953. (The PAPER DIVISION was a member of Group "A”, which consist ed of 52 mills averaging 170,000 or more man-hours per month). This is the second year in a row that you have achieved this outstanding accomplish ment, and remember, you were competing with 51 mills throughout the United States and Canada, who have one thousand or more employees. The forthcoming Safety Award is one that each of you should be proud of. It will not only designate your being "TOPS” among the largest pulp and paper industries, but the obtaining of it has assured you of less suffer ing and loss of wages. This achievement has not been reached "by accident”, but through your wonderful safety attitude and wholehearted cooperation in our all-out accident prevention program. Be proud that you have had a part in help ing prove that ACCIDENTS CAN BE PRE VENTED. 8
