One hundred top archers from
thirteen southeastern states will
compete for honors in the 1954
Southeastern Archery Tourna
ment at Camp Straus on June
25-27. The majority of these
archers will come from South
Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Ten
nessee, Virginia, and various
archery clubs in North Carolina.
Several entries are also expected
from the Cherokee Indian Res

The Sylvan Valley Archery

which will be the first south

area.
It is expected that O. K.
Smathers, defending target
champion, will have some keen
competition in the 1954 meet.
Ossie has held the championship
for the past four years. He also
holds the North Carolina and
Southern target championship,
and last year took second place
honors at the National meet.
