Mr. and Mrs. William H. Siniard (Replace
ment Crew) are the proud parents of a baby boy,
James Jeffery, born at the Transylvania Commun
ity Hospital on April 8. He tipped the scales at
8 lbs.
Mr. and Mrs. Manfred Landeck (New York Pa
per Sales) are the proud parents of a son, Robert
Charles, born on April 17, 1954, at the Madison
Avenue Hospital. He weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz.
Douglas Volney Nicholson was born to Mr. and
Mrs. Volney N. Nicholson (Machine Room) on
May 1, at the Transylvania Community Hospital.
He weighed 8 lbs. 8% ounces.
It is twins for Mr. and Mrs. Philip Sapienza
(N. Y. Cellophane Sales Office). John William
and Philip David were born in New York on
May 3. They weighed 4 lbs. 7 oz. and 3 lbs. and
15 oz. respectively.
Regina Lynn, a 7 lb. 14 oz. girl, was born to
Mr. and Mrs. J. James Mcjunkin (Film-Finishing)
at the Transylvania Community Hospital on
May 3.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl L. White ire the proud par
ents of a son, Marco Juan, born at St. Joseph’s
Hospital on May 8. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz. Mrs.
White formerly was employed in the Industrial
Relations Department.
It is a girl for Mr. and Mrs. Gordon D. Mills
(Process Control-Film). Judith Hope was born
on May 10, at the Memorial Mission Hospital. She
tipped the scales at 6 lbs. 121/2 oz.
From the Machine Room we have news of a
baby boy for Mr. and Mrs. Condon A. Raxter.
Arvin Darrell was born at the Transylvania Com
munity Hospital on May 10. He weighed 7 lbs.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Morgan (Casting-
Film) are happy to announce the arrival of a son,
Stephen Gregory, born at the Transylvania Com
munity Hospital on May 17. He tipped the scales
at 6 lbs. 151/2 oz.
Teresa Dianne Smith was born to Mr. and Mrs.
Jarrett Smith -(Finishing-Film) at the Transyl
vania Community Hospital on May 20. She
weighed 7 lbs. 6V2 oz.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby E. Roberts (Chemical and
Casting) are the proud parents of a son, Frederick
Eugene, born on May 20, at Memorial Mission
Hospital. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz.
It is a girl for Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. Compton
(Finishing-Film). Lois Deborah was born at the
Transylvania Community Hospital on May 21, and
weighed 7 lbs. 6I/2 oz.
Jerry Frederick Smith was born to Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Lee Smith (Finishing-Film) on May 26
at the Transylvania Community Hospital. He
weighed 9 lbs. V2 oz.
Mrs. Sarah M. Beecher, mother of Sid Beecher
of Endless Belt, celebrated her 100th birthday on
May 24.
A native of Mishawaka, Indiana, Mrs. Beecher
has lived at Arden since 1943. Sid is her only
living child. She has no grandchildren.
It is interesting to note that her grandmother,
a descendant of John Quincy Adams, lived to the
age of 101. Her mother and father, Mary and
John Petcher, lived to 83.
Mrs. Beecher’s parents were originally from
Bland County, Virginia. She lived in Chicago
from 1902 until she came to Arden.
