John Mrs. Herbert Higgins. Herbert is employed in the is employed in the Film Division's Casting Dept. Chemical and Casting Department (Film Div.) SHIFT CASTING By Thomas Hooper Here it is the month of June and very little to write about, not even a June bride or bridegroom. Earl Garren has the fishing fever but says he will wait about a month yet so his cute red-headed boy can go with him. Buddy Hooper and Rupert Gordon decided to go to Lake Hickory and try their luck. After fish ing all night and nearly freezing to death they finally caught four crappie about 6” long. When they started back to the boat dock they forgot the fish and consequently lost them. Better luck next time, boys. It seems our baseball club is improving as our last game brought us up the list a good way. Here’s "D" SHIFT CASTING By Kenneth Moore Well, it seems as if our news is annual instead of monthly. Charley Morgan is the biggest news. He is the proud papa of a big baby boy. Congratulations, Charley! Some of the boys are taking their vacations. J. T. Reid spent a week in Florida and had some good fishing—he said. Jess Snyder spent his week mothering his 20 hoping we can reach the top before the season closes. "B” Shift Casting, Coating, Chemical and guests enjoyed a stag party at Camp Straus on May 20. Our heartiest thanks for the use of the building as it was raining and would have ruined our party. Carl Watson seems to have a busy time these days. His talented children really keep him busy. I believe he is well paid by the way they can play and sing. It seems John Thomas and Dick Landreth have been getting plenty of sun and exercise playing golf. There has been some talk of an exhibition at the Country Club, so we really are looking for ward to it. Maybe if warm weather ever gets here there will be more to write about. The nights lately have been like winter instead of summer. That’s all for this month, so if you are single, don’t let June get the best of you. chicks. Which ones? We don’t know what Charlie Morgan did on his vacation—he won’t talk. Plato Reece spent his week gathering material for Doc Charlie Ireson to build a house trailer. Jiggs Breedlove peeped at his blue prints on it while he was gone to lunch and the best we can tell it is to be about two hundred feet long and nine feet tall. Tom Brown is to give it a trial run with his Henry J. when it’s completed. Notice to all softball teams: If you have any
