MEMORIAL SERVICES Memorial Day Services were held on May 30 at Camp Straus and Gillespie Cemetery in Brevard. A brief ceremony at Camp Straus honored the employees who lost their lives in World War II. This ceremony preceeded the formal opening of the Camp for the summ-er. Shown on the photo at top of page are R. R. Bolt, Alex Kizsr, Jr., and Ccman Hamilton, raising the flag in the memorial plot. L. F. Dixon delivered the principal address at ceremonies in Brevard which were under the direction of the American Legion Auxiliary. Oth ers participating in the program were Rev. B. W. Thomason, R. R. Fisher, Charles Himes, and local veterans organizations. The American Legion Honor Guard is shown at left.
