McAdams (left) of the Alton, Illinois, Evening Telegraph were the principals attending ceremonies signalizing the ex tension of the McAdams scenic highway from Alton to Marquette Park on May 13- The high way in progress since 1934 was conceived by Mr. McAdams’ late father, John D. McAdams. When completed, the McAdams parkway is expected to become a link in the Mississippi River scenic high way extending from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico, Ti7nber growth of the Olin forests, constituting about 433,000 acres of heavily timbered land in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, is harvested by the Forest Products Division of Olin Industries, Inc., as an an nual crop under modern forestry and reforestation methods.
