Miss Susan Matthews, daughter of R. E. Matthews (Paper Sales) was first runner-up and Miss Patsy Nicholson (Paper Finishing) was second runner-up. Miss Smith, employed in Film Division Stenographic, represented Brevard in the 1934 Miss North Carolina Pageant, July 13, 16, 17.
