The fishing is out of this world, he reports! * Sidney Wilson is in the army now! He is at tached to an Airborne Infantry Regiment. To hear him tell it, he has fallen in love with K. P.! Marco White the infant son of Aida White vis ited Ecusta recently. Aida looked fine! We were glad to see her new baby. REFINING By Harold Hogsed and Jack Rhodes Well, you never know what to expect around this department. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the day that Oscar Harbin took a shower with his shoes on. Never a dull moment around Oscar! Our apologies to Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Harmon, in the last issue of The Echo, we misspelled the name of their baby boy, it is Kevin Lee, born on June 8th. Jimmy Sledge really had a vacation, taking all of his vacation time consecutively. Others taking vacations were: Joe Mcjunkin, Roy Fisher, Glover Jackson, who is taking his in the same manner as Jimmy, Ira Whitmire and Ansel R. Jones. Roy Fisher and family motored to Kansas City, Mis souri visiting his brother and had a very enjoyable trip even though the thermometer hit a low of 114 degrees, while in K. C. Huff Hooper is the proud owner of a small hotel, a twelve room house so the boys tell us. Coffee business must have made a great improve ment for him to buy a house like this. In another year, if business continues, he will be in the real estate business sure enough! After seeing the TV set Burgin Kilpatrick has, we take back everything we said about Burgin. If there should be such a thing as perfect reception, Burgin has it. Birthday greetings go to Clifford Gillespie, Wayne Harmon, Ansel Jones, Donald Owen and Fred Wallin. Now how about a small serving of the cake fellows? Don’t tell us the good ladies have forgotten how to bake! Kermit Reese must believe he is overweight and wants to reduce, because we can not think of any other reason why a fellow would want 100 quarts of blackberries. Lee Cunningham tried it last year and look at his physique. Henry Holliday came up with a new jeep the other day, Henry said it was not exactly new, but it certainly looked new to us. You can go get them now can’t you, Henry? Just hope we can tag along sometime. The Refining Room extends its sympathy to Donald Owens, who had the misfortune of losing his father recently. Bill Bentley is a bachelor for a while, as his wife is taking a trip up Indiana way. It’s a little "ruff” eating your own cooking isn’t it, Bill? We would suggest it is a good reason to visit your mother more often, especially at meal time.
