E. H. BELLOWS IS APPOINTED ASSISTANT TO N. H. COLLISSON Everett H. Bellows has been appointed assistant to N. H. Collisson, vice president for operations of Olin Industries, Inc., who is responsible for the Film, Paper, Forest Products and Electrical Divi sions of the Company. Bellows will be located at the Olin offices at 505 Park Avenue, New York City. Bellows came to Olin from Booz-Allen & Ham ilton, Management Consultants of New York City. Prior to that, be spent eight years in various posi tions for the United States Government. Follow ing three years Navy Service in the Pacific Theatre, he became an executive officer. Office of the Unit ed States Foreign Service, Department of State, lo cated at Washington. For two years he was deputy executive assistant to the United States Represent ative, Economic Cooperation Administration, Paris, France. The following year he was Assistant to the Administrator of Economic Cooperation Admin istration in Washington. From September, 1951, until December, 1953, he was Director, Industrial Productivity and Technical Assistance Division of the Mutual Security Program with offices in Washington and Paris. A native of Toledo. Ohio, Bellows has Bachelor E. H. Bellows of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees from George Washington University, Washington, D. C. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He was president of George Washington University, Washington, D. C. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. OLIN MATHIESON ACQUIRES INTEREST IN CALIF. FIRM Olin Mathieson Chemical Corporation has ac quired a substantial interest in Hunter Engineer ing Company of Riverside, California, an enter prise engaged in research and development in methods of fabricating non-ferrous metals. The announcement was made September 22 by John M. Olin, chairman, and Thomas S. Nichols, presi dent of Olin Mathieson. Hunter Engineering Company has under con struction at Riverside a facility with an area in ex cess of 200,000 square feet of floor space which will be fully equipped for research and develop ment in the casting, rolling, forging, extrusion and fabrication of aluminum. The initial facilities are expected to be completed in 1954. Hunter Engineering Company will cooperate closely with the Metals Division of Olin Mathieson in development work on all non-ferrous metals. Joseph L. Hunter, president of Hunter Engineer ing, will continue as chief executive officer of the firm. He is well known in the aluminum industry for his work in the development of fabricating equipment and for processes of fabricating metal. 35 YEARS SERVICE George D. Heyman Office Manager George D. Heyman is a Charter Member of the Fifteen Year Club which became effective this month. Also in September he com pleted a total of thirty-five years of service with companies which were owned or controlled by the late Harry H. Straus. George joined Boucher Cork and Machine Company in 1919, transferring several years later to Cork Import Corporation. In 1935 he joined Champagne Paper Corporation, and came to Ecusta when Champagne was moved from New York to Pisgah Forest in 1939. 5
