EDITOR COMMENTS STUDENT COUNCIL NOTES M.ost of us are facing the age old transition from the secutlry of the gregarious youth to ih4 dividualism. The time has ctxsme to do your om thinking. The most important decisions of your life "’ may well be the choice of your curriculum and the attitude you now take. To5many of us the choice between high pay in a car eer we do not really like, and lesser pay in one we do like, is ^ a crucial problem. Too many v/lll make hasty decisione ’ and pay with many precious years ofth^eir lives. We must first know our own capacities, and then choose a career within them, realizing that no amount of money can buy back a wasted year. !^fore you say you’ve het.rd this before, be sure you understand. Another most deserved compli ment goes to the SUJMITand those of you who were a part of the crowning of Miss Summit of I960. In short, it v/as touchingly beau tiful from beginning to end,and your choice of Miss Lynn Merchant was excellent. Hearty Congratula tions I The radio program"Asheville Biltmore College, Yesterday,Today and T*morrow",deserves high com mendation. Our college is gaining more and more recognition from the ne’-s "aper;---', TV, and radio. Let us be roud of our college and take every opportunity to v/ork for its advancement. AN OPEN LETTER TO STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND PIDRSCNNELs V/e are now at the beginning of a new basketball season at Asheville-Biltmore. Everyone now has a schedule of all the Bulldog games. As most of us realize, there is no better way to i.romote our school spirit and friendship among students than the v;hole- hearted support of an athletic team. You don’t have to be a member of the team, a coach, or a cheerleader to take an active part in the basketbc.ll season. Each person at Asheville-Biltmore College can do his share to help ■-roraote school spirit simply by attending every game. V'fe’re counting on YOU’. See you at the games. Jane Floyd Chief Cheerleader
