11 Another interest of the group is to have an equal distribution of wealth. Because, as he sees it, “America is not a Democracy, the wealth and power are in the hands of a few.” The fact that 5% of the people control 95% of the world’s wealth is a major concern of the group. They want “to end special political priv- ledges often given to individ uals, corporations, lobbyists and special interest groups,” Holden writes. “A New Politics will emerge when leaders begin to utilize the power of truth in a compassionate way.” If the Human Party gets a strong hold on the political scene, life as we now know it would be changed. With an equal distribution of wealth, world-wide peace, conservation, reduction of dependence on the government, and a true concern for the rest of the world, Holden hopes to eliminate many of the problems now plaguing our society. In Holden’s words, “A New Politics will emerge when leaders begin to utilize the power of truth in a compassion ate way to inspire individuals to change and turn towards direc tions that benefit the whole of Humanity.” The Campaign for Human Understanding is supported entirely by contributions from concerned citizens, con tributions of $25 or more will put you on the mailing list for one year.
