Carat Scholarship Foundation is
funded by the contributions of civic-
minded individuals, businesses and
various fund raisers. The Foundation
offers $ 1000 scholarships semi-annu-
ally to graduate and undergraduate

The NSPA Annual Scholarship
Award
Who can apply?
Students majoring in accounting with
a “B” or better grade point average.
Students enrolled full-time in a de
gree program at an accredited two-
year or four-year college or university.
Evening program studies will be con
sidered full-time if they are pursuing
an accounting degree.
Only undergraduate students are eli
gible.
Only U.S or Canadian citizens at
tending a U.S. accredited business
school, college or university may ap-
ply.
When to Apply:
Students in an accredited two-year
college may apply during their first
year or during their second year if
transferring to a four-year institution,
provided they have committed them
selves to a major in accounting
throughout the remainder of their
college career.

The James Madison Memorial Fel
lowship Foundation awards fellow
ships to future and current secondary
school teachers of American history,
American government, or social stud
ies in grades 7-12 to support their
graduate study of the roots, principles,
framing, and development of the U.S.
Constitution.
The foundation awards James Madi
son Fellowships to college seniors and
college graduates without teaching ex
perience (Junior Fellows) and to ex
perienced secondary school teachers
in grades 7-12 (Senior Fellows) who
will normally enroll, respectively, in
full-time and part-time graduate study
leading to one of the following master’s
degrees listed in the order of the
Foundation’s preferability.
A Master’s degree in history or po
litical science;
A degree of Master of Arts in teach
ing in history or social studies; or
A related master’s degree in educa
tion that permits a concentration in
history, government, social studies,
or political science.
Each fellowship recipient must take
at least 12 semester hours or the
equivalent in topics directly related to
the framing and history of the Consti
tution of the United States.

ward the Ph.D. in an area related to
