"We wish Sigma Nu and the Staff team better luck next year. A few guys on our team will gradu ate this year, but at least next year there will be more competition in flag football for the playoffs,” Scruggs said. Indoor soccer is heating up this season and teams are pulling out all the stops to guarantee victory with hopes of an intramural cham pionship in the near future. Monday night Banana in Pajamas gave up a one goal lead in the final two minutes of the sec ond half and tied Team Zissou 3-3. “This game was everything I wanted after a long day of class es.” said Jensel Garcia, captain of Team Zissou. “We played smart together, and hung in with the U Wc WES’/? Keith Scruggs .lunior Student other team and got a draw out of it, it was a lot of fun.” The architect behind the name of team “Zissou” is Philip Wheeler, according to Garcia. “One night he was watching the film “The Life Aquatic” and he called me up and said that Zissou had to be the name of our team, it’s awesome,” Garcia said. The tie came as a disappoint ment to Banana in Pajamas as they held on to the lead throughout the majority of the game. “We just need to play harder, be quicker around the ball and be super good,” said Gabe Kallen, captain of Banana in Pajamas. The next game of the night fea tured The Aristocrats against Babylon Badasses. The game got off to a rocky start for the Aristocrats as only five of their players initially showed up. The Babylon Badasses came fully prepared with players and Nike team jerseys. In the first 20 seconds of the game, Babylon Badasses struck first, putting the Aristocrats behind 1-0. As the first half continued, members of the Aristocrats arrived at the match and joined up with their teammates. Their attributed efforts on the court tied the game 2-2 at the half. A battle cry out of the Aristocrats comer at the start ot the second half sealed the fate ot Babylon Badasses. The Aristocrats scored three goals in the second half overcoming their weak start, and defeating Babylon Badasses 5-3. The team captain of Babylon Badasses would not comment about the loss. The halftime cheer is what did it for the Aristocrats, according to team members. The intimidation of their confidence and cheers sent fear through the players of Babylon Badasses. While the game did get off to a slow start for the Aristocrats, they wanted to make a dramatic entrance as a team and be fashion ably late according to team mem bers.
