WALKERS
Chancellor Highsmith (left) and Ashevllle Mayor Roy Trantham led off the first UNC-A Autumn Walk on Saturday, Oct. 27. Dr. C. Russell Reynolds,
who originated the walk with Lt. Col. Marcus Galyean, said it was a great success. About 350 people took part, and most them made the entire 20
kilometer (12.6 miles) course up Elk Mountain Scenic Highway and back to campus. (Photo by Henry Robinson)
SOLVED?
"The Mind/Body Problem
Solved(?)” will be the topic discussed
(if not solved) by Dr. Anthony Coyne,
assistant professor of philosophy, at
the next Philosophy Forum on Tues
day, Nov. 6. His talk will be at 3:30 in
Room 131 of the Humanities Building.
Dr. Coyne will draw on some
themes from Hegelian epistemology to
show that everything you ever thought
about the mind-body relationship (but
were afraid to ask) is true except that
your mind has anything to do with
your body.
