Mr. Livengood an nounced that $25.00 was taken ip. A brand new recreation room was opened to the students of Brevard college last week with two ping pong tables and two shuf fleboard courts at the students’ disposal in the basement of West Hall. After the spring holidays, and when the weather clears, horse shoe pits, badminton courts, and a croquet, layout will be added on the lawn. Miss Add Lea Morgan, director of women’s physical edu cation here; who is in charge of the work, has had her recreation classes busy the past month clean ing and painting the old kitchen in the West Hall basement. Since the playroom opened last v/eek, many students have taken advantage of the relaxation it of fers and the place is overflowing each night. With the addition of croquet, horseshoes and badminton, the recreation facilities here will be greatly increased. This will not only afford a wholesome atmos phere in which students may spend their leisure hours, but will pro vide a place for much needed rec reation.
