All We Want For Christmas Relates
In Survey Made For Brevard Studes
We’ve all been good—we’ve not been bad—we’ve
done the things we should. Before we start the list of
things we want, we’d like that understood. And, too, the
most of us have been aw'ay from home for such a long,
long time. Remember that, dear Santa Claus, when you
begin to read our rhyme. We understand, old fellow,
that we can’t have everything. But here’s a partial list of
gifts we’d like to have you bring:
JEAN PARRISH wants a bride
doll. Now isn’t that the stuff?
And bring a great big teddy bear
to little Peanut Huff.
PAT CARTER wants a snow
man—the kind that never melts
away.
DAVID STARR would like to
have a chemistry set with which
to play.
MARK TUTTLE wants just any
thing that Santa Claus can spare.
EARL BLACK would like to
have a girl—with any color hair.
Bring FLETCHER MARTIN a
book—he says—McMaster’s his
tory, please. He wants to know
’bout “Little Henry” and folks on
family trees.
JOHN RANDALL wants a new
bookstore—that’s quite a bill to
fill.
THE COUPLES OF BREVARD
would like to have “town hill” re
moved.
PAUL NICHOLSON would like
to see that everybody’s happy.
PROF. KENNEDY wants most
of all an endless book of matches.
HIS WIFE just wants a new car
—the kind with doors and latches.
ARCHIE MILLER would like to
have some Adler elevator shoes.
The CLARION STAFF would
like for you to bring them lots and
lots of news.
WORTH WILKERSON just
wants to pass all subjects first se
mester.
TOMMY THOMPSON says to
bring a means to do “Lit” faster.
MRS. PYLANT says she’d like
to have just anything you’d give
away.

BERNIE WELCH would like
from Uncle Sam a six or seven-year
delay.
JOE DAVIS wants a round trip
ticket on a plane to New Jersey.
(What’s the matter, Joey, boy, too
good to ride the train?)
And speaking of New Jersey,
HOWARD GRAHAM would like to
go. (Say, HOWARD, since you’re
going, would you like to go along
with JOE?)
DOT DELLINGER would like to
have a motorcycle with a man.
Bring the motorcycle, Santa;
bring it if you can.
ALICE LEGGETT wants for you
to bring an elephant that is pink.
Siie’s such a sweet girl, Santa; she
deserves it, we all think.
NATALIE JONES is very shy—
she wants not much at all. You’ll
know her, Santa, she’s the girl
who’s oh so cute and tall.
(“I want what every average,
normal American girl wants: a
mink coat, a pink Rolls Royce con
vertible, a couple of diamond neck
laces to keep me warm. Nothing
expensive, you understand.”)
JOAN GAMBLE seems to us to
be in almost that same boat. She
wants same as Natalie—except she
wants no coat.
CAROLYN HAMILTON wants
just clothes, and clothes, and more.
(Wonder what she’s gonna do—
start a clothing store?’
Her roommate, RACHEL
FRANKLIN, wants to go to Mary
land—pretty far. (How’re you go
ing, RACHEL—on a bus, by train
or car?’
Now don't forget us, Santa
Don’t forget our classmates, eith
er. We’re expecting lots of things
this year—just what we want—
from you. Don’t bring this stuff
to Brevard—we leave in five days
more.
Remember us, dear Santa—oh,
we wish we left in four.

Dancing around “Santa Claus” Ehlhardt are the typical students
of Brevard College depicting the festivity of the season. For the
many improvements “Santa” has brought with him to this campus,
they seem to smile their thanks.
