the clarion JANUARY 17, 1958 PAGE FOUR Rambling With Audrey By Audrey Honeycutt Ah, what’s that familiar pitter- patter I hear upon my window j pane as I sneak out of bed after a | weekend of beautiful, sunny weath-! er? I knew it! The radnjr.3ker is at | it again and with the rain he s bringing icy sidewalks. Eve^one was going “Slipping and sliding toward Dunham Hall this morn ing. Oh well, we can’t be so for tunate as to have beautiful weath er and exams handed to us too. Exams . . . isn’t that a musical sounding word! After three horri ble ole weeks of sleep, good gifts, and good times, what could be more glorious than to return to burning the midnight oil and cramming for those dearly beloved exams? Seriously now, it’s time all of us buckled down and hit the books for a spell. We’d hate to be missing a few of those smiling fa ces around here next semester. (Mine included.) • Say, “ole” Dan Dupid was real ly on the ball over those Christmas holidays. Has everyone noted the •beautiful sparkling additions to cer tain girls’ third finger, left hand? Congratulations are in order for Beverly Ussury and Charlie Ad ams; Thurley Stepipe and Harold Mask; and Thelma Parker and Gary Wagner. May your futures be hap py ones. The love bug seems to have bit Goldie and Harry a little harder. They became Mr. and Mrs. Harrv Queen. Our heartiwt con gratulations, Goldie couldn’t have happened to nw er people. Many new steady cm pies were added to the corps the holidays, also. Spnng must not be far off. To Margaret and Eddie and the rest of the Valentine Court, we also offer congratulations. You’re a de serving bunch. Big plans must be in the makmg for the Valentine Dance. Living next door to the Nemo President I, cnn hear much whispering and gig’i sling. Incidentally, boys, I did over- hear the girls saying that they were, requesting you not to give the girls flowei^ for this special occasion in order to cut down the expenses for the dance. Isn’t that nice of them? We’re surely going to miss Jo Smart, Ronnie Money, Charlie Ad- ams, and all the rest of the people who will leave us through gradua tion at the end of the semester. Here’s hoping you won’t forget us and do come back for frequent vis its. Our best wishes go with you as you go on to higher goals. May I add my word of admira tion to Mr. Alex McFadden and h^ cast for the superb job they did in "Time Out for Ginger”. It was one of the finest performances I’d ever seen and I’m sure everyone who saw it feels the same. That drizzle of rain on the win dow pane makes me want to go rambling off into dreamland, but as usual, there’s more work to be done. That’s the way the cookie crumbles in the life of a college student. A Bird’s Eye View By “Pat” Guyer now ri;SiS;e'’.Uasnecome fsecSary item of most Brevard students list.
