DEAR CLARIO...
Dear Clario,
My problem bothers me con
siderably. Everyday at 10:00
and 4:30, I check my mailbox.
But everyday at 10:00 and 4:30
its barren as a bald man’s head.
I’ve tried writing myself but
they always came back with 6c
postage due. I’m going broke
—what can I do ?
Pony Depressed
Dear Pony,
Have you tried postcards?
They’re only Sc.
Dear Clario,
You see, I got this problem.
It’s called panic belfore mid
terms. I have seven (7) tests
in two days and a bad aver
sion for playing. Before you
know it, it’s going to be “flunk-
out city.”
Help
Dear, help,
Don’t worry. Flunk now and
avoid the confusion of a hot,
sweaty graduation.
Do you have a problem, con
fidential or otherwise? Just
drop your cards and letters in
Clario’s mailbox in the soda
shop.

I hope he can do something for
this country and all the peo

“But Mr. Ali,” inquired a
a student from Wayne State,
“why don’t you lash out at some
of these people, particularly
those in government positions,
who sit back and do nothing.
All we have heard in regard
to this from you has been a
'^ery serene word or two. Why
don’t you orally attack these
people.”
Almost instantly Ali came
back.
Well my young friend, I

Muhammad Ali, the often
called “idiot of atiiletics,” im
pressed many that day who
“•d never heard him speak. He
did not parade himself as he
had done in the past and an
nounced that all of the parad

done was simply for promotion.
“But now, I don’t need this,”
he concluded.
Next week, John Lum, vice-
president of the SGA and con

Bergman Film
To Be Shown
Saturday
Inigmar Berpnan’s film clas
sic The Magician will be shown
this Saturday night at 8:00, in
Dunham Auditorium. This deep
ly startling work is a thinking
man’s horror film and a sym
bolic self - portrait of the fa
mous director himself.
The film is the story of a
traveling troupe led by Dr.
Vogler, a hypnotist and ma
gician. The troupe is travel
ing through the night toward
19th Century Stockholm. Voig-
ler is accompanied by a witch
of a grandmother, who makes
love potions, and his wife, who
is dressed as a male assistant.
In the city they are examined
and humiliated by a committee
headed by a cynical medical
officer.
The troupe puts on a special
private performance for the
medical officer and his com
mittee, In order to stop them
from amusing themselves at
his expense, Vogler hypnotizes
the chief constable’s wife, and
she tells of her amorous ad
ventures. Vogler then hypno
tizes a servant, who, when re
leased from his trance, rushes
at Vogler and kills him. The
performance breaks up, and
Vogler’s assistants place his
body in a coffin which is one
of the props of the show, and
carry him off.
The medical officer carries
out an autopsy on the body.
Then Vogler comes back from
fhe dead and physically pur
sues the doctor through the
house. Vogler has perpetrated
an illusion on the urtbelieving
doctor, but is trapped by his
own trick. He is rescued by
messengers from the King who
arrive to summon him to give
a command performance at the
palace.
