Worship
For Campus
by Lisa Atkins
Whatever happened to student
worship on campus? In view of
the fact that many students have
asked this same question, the
Religious Activities Committee
at Brevard College has organized
Hey guys & gals it’s time for school
again! Too soon, I know, but to
start the new semester off right, the
professionals at Margaret’s Cut
Above, are offering a
10% discount
through March 30.
So give us a call down at
an opportunity for on-campus
worship. These services, which
began on February 3, are in
terdenominational, student led,
and strictly volunteer. They will
be held every other Wednesday in
Dunham Auditorium during the
1:30 free hour.
One of the main reasons behind
the organization of these services
is the fact that many students,
who are very busy and have no
time for attending regular wor
ship services, have expressed a
desire for some sort of on-campus
worship opportunity. It is the
hope of all involved in organizing
these services that they (the ser
vice) will serve to meet the needs
of these students.
REWARD OFFERED!
A modest reward is being offered for information leading to
the recovery of a handmade kneeling cushion for the First
United Methodist Church Prayer Stand.
This beautiful cushion is very special since it was made by the
women of the church who spent countless hours on this project.
