She averaged 14.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. “Angie is one of our most. consistent players. She always seemed to get the basket when we needed it,” said Coach Mary Ann Sun- bury. Pam Lyons was named to the first team All-Conference. She averaged 14.3 points and 7.7 re bounds per game. “Pam is one of our strongest, quickest players who played more like she was six feet tall instead or five feet seven inches. During 1984-85, she averaged 12.3 points, 5.6 re bounds, and four assists per game. “She (Gibson) was one that helped us win the conference tournament. She is probably the quickest guard that we’ve ever had,” remarked Sunbury. Lyons and Vickers were two of five collegiate basketball players named to the Kodak All-District Women’s Basketball Team for District III for NCAA Division Junior/Community Colleges. The District includes colleges in the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virgina. The team is selected by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WCBA). “The five athletes were chosen for this honor through a selection process that involved all women’s basketball coaches at colleges and universities that are WBCA members and involved at the Division Junior/Community College level,” said Lorene Ramsey, selection chairperson and head women’s basketball coach at Illinois Central. All-District selection is the first step in the process to pick the 1985 Kodak Women’s All-America Team.
