(BC photo by Jock Lauterer) Twelve students picked for Who’s Who by Bonnie Davis Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges will include the names of twelve Brevard College sophomores in the 1987 edition. These students have been chosen to represent their school nation wide as outstanding campus leaders. These sophomores were chosen on the basis of scholastic and community achievements. The selection process in volved nomination and voting by the facul ty and student body. Students named this year from Brevard College are: Ray Larry Chason, son of Mr. Students dial for dollars The fifth annual Brevard College Phonathon kicks off next week, aiming for a record goal of $40,000, according to Director of Development Mark Bailey. For two weeks, Nov. 17-20 and Dec. 1-4, students will be calling Brevard College alumni to raise money for the student scholarship fund. The conference room in Beam Ad ministration Building will be specially- equipped with a bank of ten phones and students will be making their calls from 6:30 to 9:30 nightly. The students raising the most money will receive prizes, and as an added bonus, for each night worked, student volunteers may place a free, three- minute call anywhere in the continental U.S. and Mrs. Ray Chason of Lake Toxaway ; Bonnie Leanna Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Ballard of Sarasota, Fla.; Ann Elizabeth Defenbaugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Defenbaugh of Toccoa, Ga.; Raymond Walter Flischel, son of Mrs. Letitia Flischel of Englewood, Fla.; Andrew Brian Lankford, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lankford of Ridgecrest, N.C.; and Brenda Gail Lisenbee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.C. Lisenbee of Arden, N.C. Other sophomores named are; Jeffrey Odell Rice, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rice of Brevard; Sandra Marie Rogers, daughter of Mrs. Pamela Keys of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Andrea Nichole Ross, daughter of Mr. Donald Ross, Jr. of Charlotte; Martha Sanders, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Frank Sanders of Burl ington; Terri Darlene Stone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Stone of Swannanoa; and Wendy Gail Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Wood of Pompano Beach, Fla. Concert Band performs Clarinetist Nathan Williams will be the featured soloist for the Brevard College Concert Band Fall Concert, Thursday, Nov. 20, 8:15 p.m. in Dunham Auditorium. The 61-piece ensemble, under the direc tion of Steven Kelly, will perform pieces by Alfred Reed, Sergei Prokofieff, Ralph Vaughan Williams and Vincent Parsichet- ti, among others. The concert is a part of the Brevard Col lege Life and Culture Series.
