The men are struggling at 1-3, and the women 2-2. The men opened their season in Atlanta at the DeKalb Classic on November 10 & 11. Brevard lost their opener to Gordon College 87-82. Harvey Cozart led BC with 21, Nate Fearrington had 17, Jamie Cousin had 13, and Marcus Allen had 12. The next night, Brevard lost another close one to homestanding DeKalb College 102-98. Allen had 22, Fearrington had 17 and 11 assists, Kevin Adjent had 14, and Andre Ir ving had 13. In the opener of the Pizza Hut Tourna ment on November 17, BC routed Wayne 111-54, Jason Tweed led BC with 16, follow ed by Cozart with 14, Allen with 13, Cousin with 12, and Scott Barnes with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Chris McCants added 10 more rebounds. In the championship game the next night, Brevard fell to Roane State 81-74 in overtime. Fearrington led with 24, Cousin with 14, Allen with 10 and Irving with 10 points and 14 rebounds. The women opened with a win on the road against Denmark Tech 70-50. Paula Crowe led with a game-high 18 points, BC then lost to Walters State 69-47. Katie Trex- ler led with 17 and Crowe added 11. BC then participated in the North Carolina Junior College Championship at Peace College in Raleigh. In the first game, Brevard lost a nail-biter to Lees- McRae 64-63. Trexler had a game-high 21 and Jennifer Burger added 11 rebounds. Brevard then beat Chowan 86-85 in over time. Burger put the game into overtime and contributed 17 rebounds. Trexler had a game-high 26, Crowe had 14, Monica Cameron had 13 points and 16 assists, and Daphnie Bouson had 10. Brevard Blue and White dons the faces of Tornado fans John Kennedy and Bobby Ortiz.
