BC brothers and sisters reflect by Libby Enloe Clarion Associate Editor Making the adjustment from homeiife to college life is tough and every on-campus student here at Brevard College has had to make that adjustment. Does having a brother or sister on campus make that home to college move easier? Leslie Goodwin, a sophomore from Columbia, S.C., whose twin sister Brooks is also a student here at BC says, "Last year we didn't room together so we had to learn to get along with living with somebody else." She adds, "This year we do room together so it's not all that different from being at home." To sophomore Robin Wicker from Conover, N.C., having his younger brother Dale here, "Always gives me a sense of security. Since we've been here at school, we've shared more than we did at home. Since Mom and Dad aren't here," he continues,"we just have each other." Sophomore Rick Redmond from Hendersonville, N.C., feels the same sense of security. "What makes me happiest about having Lin here is that we're best friends. It's like having a security blanket." Rick adds,"When I need somebody, she's here." Rick's sister, Lin, who is also a sophomore, says, their relationship "has gotten belter because we've had to cooperate. Enjoying something together has been good." Dane and Dean Peterson, from Winston-Salem, N.C., like the Goodwin twins, chose to be roommates this year because, according to freshman Dane, "I could get more work done with Dean as a roommate." Dane and Dean not only share a room but they also share an interest in music. They both play in campus bands; Dane is a drummer for "Weber and Peterson" and Dean is a bassist for "COA". Even though they share an interest hall and now live south of Brevard in mountains in a place called Bill Rains Mountain. Murray's wife, Mary, is a potter.
