BC's long-awaited Lady
Tornadoes' soccer team has made its fall
1990 debut in style - winning the BC
Fall Classic this weekend with victories
over Anderson (1-0), Maramec (2-1) and
Anindel (2-0).
Under third year soccer coach Joe
Bartlinski, the Lady T's boast 11
returning sophomore starters and a
strong freshman crop. BC women’s
Soccer was ranked as high as fourth in
the nation last year. This year they hope
to better that. The secret of their success
last year was team unity and a lot of
pride claims Coach Bart. "We are a
family on and off the field," says Bart.
That same "family" went
undefeated for their first eleven games
and outscored their opponents by more
than they would care to admit. The
upcoming fall season for the Lady Ts
looks promising yet far from easy. BC
will have to face stiff competition from
Region X spoilers Anderson,
Spartanburg Methodist and Lees McRae.
