Hiking the Forest Trail
Angie Clark
Art Editor
If you’re in the mood for a little
of the forest this weekend, try out the
North Slope Trail, located at Davidson
River Campground on the left, right
before the ranger station.
The trail is a fairly easy one
with only slight inclines . On the trail is a
Historic Graveyard . Also there are
several other trails that connect to this
one.
Located in the same area is the
Art Loeb trail. Anyone feeling a little
more adventerous should check this one
out. If you have the time to hike this one,
it will take you all the way up to the
parkway.
For more information on hiking
trails or even bike trails, stop by the
ranger station and pick up a guide.
There’s more to the forest than meets the
eye.

CD Review
Melody Oddkid
Staff Writer
Upon flipping through my new CD’s
from CD Headquarters, I found two
newer stand-outs: Joan Osborne’s
“Relish”, and Deep Blue Something’s
“Home”
Joan Osborne’s debut album has the
potential to become a classic. While
Osborne’s music style is similar to Sheryl
Crow’s, she belongs in a class of her
own. Each song has a different flavor to
it, something that makes it stand out from
the rest, yet without all of the songs, the
album wouldn’t be complete. This CD
rates a 9 on the Oddkid Scale. Highlights
include: “Man In The Long Black Coat ,
“Pensacola”, “One of Us”, “Dracula
Moon”.
Deep Blue Something’s premiere
effort is good as well. This group has
made a wonderful debut album. Their
songs are full of energy and vivacity, and
this CD is destined to become a best
seller Oddkid rating: 8. Highlights
, include: “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”, “A
wl Pr.yer", 'I Can Waic*. “The
Kandinsky Prince”.
If you’ve listened to these CD s or it
there are any others that you’d like to see
reviewed, you can e-mail feedback to
“oddkid@lightnin.brevard.edu .
