TJ.C. Report
Dr. Robert Towell was awarded
a research grant this past summer by
the Waynesville UFO Society. He
was to try to make contact with ex
traterrestrial beings by sitting on top
of Mt. Pisgah at night and reciting
poetry of Ken Chamlee through a
bullhom.
He made two possible contacts.
One proved to be a bearded, retired
Brevard College professor “bush
whacking” through the woods and
lost in the dark.
The other possible contact ap
peared as a glowing object coming
through the woods but proved to be
a lost hiker who worked for the
Oconee Nuclear plant during the day.
Next summer he hopes to im
prove on the project. A battery oper
ated stereo system will be used to read
selections from Ernie Mills “Off the
Wall” emails and to play a creation
by Jon Gudmundson, “French Broad
Jazz Suite.”
