February 25, 2000 Photos by Lindi Logman OPINION Campus Voice: What one thing would you do to change racisim? It will never change. Jonathan Woodby I guess I would try to effect racial change on an individual level by staying open-minded and not succumbing to stereotypes Carolyn Carnahan To change racism I would not let any criticism toward another color be omitted. LG I would start teaching people when they are young that coming from different cultures and races is a good thing. We learn more about the world we live in when we are open to people of different cultures and races. I feel racism is something learned by people when they are young, and if racial teachings were ended the problem of racism would soon follow. Joe Moerschbaecher I would make people look past their differences concerning race, religion and cultural differences and make everyone realize how incredibly similar all members of the human race are. Katherine Sullivan I would have an awareness week where all people of different races come together under one classroom and talk about their cultural background. LB Nothing. Nothing will ever change racism. John McMilhan. I don’t think it’s ever going to change, because it is going to take blacks and whites communicating, which is going to lead to fighting. .
