Welcome Dan Moore: New Psychology Professor by Jon Obst, staff writer The Psychology Program at Brevard College has received a boost from the recent hiring of Professor Dan Moore, who is working to develop a Psychology major. Corresponding with Professor Moore s teaching position at Brevard College, the curriculum at Brevard will begin to offer students the opportunity of majoring in Psychology this spring. The following Psychology courses will be offered: General Psychology, Life Span Development, Social Science Research Methods, Community and Environment, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Sensation and Perception, Theories of Personality, Adolescent Growth and Development, Psychology Skills, and Career Lab. When asked about how faculty members at Brevard have responded to the addition of the Psychology major to the curriculum. Professor Moore replied,” Everybody has been extremely nice, appreciative, and helpful.” Prior to teaching at Brevard, Professor Moore was Assistant Professor at Saint Leo University, near Homecoming: The Best at BC by Sheyahshe Littledave, staff writer The weekend of October 10-12th will be one that will always be remembered. Not only was it the annual homecoming and the 150th Anniversary of the school but it was also the inauguration of Brevard College’s 12th President Dr. Drew L. Van Horn. The weekend-long festivities began with the President’s inauguration that was open to the public and was followed by food and refreshments. Then Saturday, the alumni were invited back to the school for the soccer games and other activities. To top the evening off there was a spectacular fireworks display followed by the Homecoming dance held in the quad of The Village. Many students showed up to the semi- formal ready to have fun as they danced the night away.
