BREVARD C () L L E G E Hr.vurJ. nisi over llreriirt/ iii\c‘iHL'r ioiiryclf CjI AFvICjN Opinions Letter from the Editor by Heather Ochse, editor-in-chief I am sure many of you have noticed a new editor in town—ME! As the Clarion will surely miss Ty, I am sure he will be adding his own thoughts throughout Brevard College campus anyway. Lets just face it; the Clarion will not be the same. I would just like to thank Ty for everything he has done thus far with the newspaper and wish him luck in all his endeavors. Ty, this paper is for you; or should I say the new, renovated on-line Clarion, is for you. Tennis Courts. Okay, whose idea was it to put in twelve tennis courts over by the Village complexes? Let’s face it; does Brevard College really need this many tennis courts? By a show of interested comments I will be curious to see who responds. I do not know about everyone else, but the last thing I want to hear at 7:00 a.m. is the sound of bulldozers outside my window! And why could not this task be performed over the summer? The temperatures are getting colder, so realistically wouldn’t it be wiser to do it when the ground was not frozen, cold, wet. I think you get my point. My point is; when I am studying for midterms and soon to be finals, the last thing I need to hear is the sound of loud traffic right outside my living area. Students need sleep, right? Guy on campus making an ass out of himself. I am sure everyone at Brevard College knows the deal with Mr Pervert on campus recently. If not, you need to be checking your email more than usual Does this bother any other females on campus? I am just making sure I am not alone. I do not feel the need to be walked to class frequently, but I do recommend becoming aware of what is around you. If you have a cell phone but do not use it regularly, now is a good time to rethink that. Search parties may or may not be the answers to finding this guy, but honestly, do you really think forming a group will help target this guy? Let me tell ‘ya something, NO, IT WON'T! He is targeting one, single, alone female, as far as we know, so wouldn’t it be smart to not have a huge group on this? Everybody say it with me, YES! Just be smart and conscious, which is all I am saying! Porter Center tickets. Maybe I speak for myself, but I was just wondering why the students do not aet in for free besides 10 to 15 early prior to the show, at all times when a production is taking place Through the school year. Music students get in for free. Why don’t we? I realize Porter Center gets profits from this and maybe the college does too; but since the students pay enough for college tu^|on and other costs, wouldn’t it make sense to have students get in for free? Let rrje say this again-Ypi If I am stepping on any toes here, please let me know, but honestly, I am not the only one that feels this way. I am sure of it. Okay now that you know Ty is not in this piece, you are probably sick of my babbling and nonsense; but iu^t take into account what rights we as students have and use it to your advantage! Got something to say about my pieoe? Let's hear It when you respond to the on-line Clarion as a whole. If y^Se any questions or a>mments about an article In the Clarion, speal> your mind.
