video was very
amusing. Michael
did a good job,”
said Ethan Smith.
In be
tween the two vid
eos, Camille Van
Horn played the role
of auctioneer in a
date auction. The
students auctioned
off were Mike
Cohen, Aleece
Fosnight, Laura
King, John
Grimsley, Kris May-
Richardson, and
Anthony Hatcher.
Mike Cohen was
bought by Jamie
Michaels for $25.00.
Aleece Fosnight
was bought by Dan
Aulterman for
$15.00. Laura King
was bought by her
boyfriend, Justin
Blythes, for $100.00.
John Grimsley was
bought by Keeley
Bollinges for $34.00. Kris May-

with the $100.00 pur
chase.” Mike Cohen
says, “It was one of the
most humiliating experi
ences of my life. I felt
like a piece of meat but
we’re not talking about
Angus Beef here. We’re
talking about old pork
chops.”
When people
arrived at the dance they
had the option to donate
money to United
Children’s Fund
(UNICEF). If they do
nated money over $1.00
they received a raffle
ticket. The raffle took
place after the last video
segment. SGA and CAB
were raffling off three
baskets filled mostly
with candy but there
were also dinner tickets
and few extra odds and
ends. The grand prize
was two tickets to the
Biltmore Estates. Kathy
Dorner, Kody Kinsley,
and Anthony Hatcher
won the baskets and Robin Benitz
won the Biltmore Estate tickets.
At 10:00pm the student dance
started. At the end of the evening,
SGA and CAB raised $581.00 for the
United Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and
SGA said they will match and donate
$581.00 to Communities in Schools of
Transylvania County.
