On the Tuesday night following the shooting there was a solemn gathering on the residen tial quad where around 60 people stood holding candles with there heads bowed. Extreme weather causes townwide damages by Katie Berube Business IVIanager While aNor’easterravagedmost of New England last weekend, shutting down interstate s and public transportation in major cit ies, gale force winds wreaked havoc in Brevard. These winds, described by one person on cam pus as sounding like “the tornado Wellborn’s Miata, and caused county wide chaos. On Sunday evening all of the power in the Village, the Complex, Ross Hall, and several small build ings on campus went out, leaving students in total darkness, and elec trical silence.
