The Board of Trustees approved the proposal at their October meeting, paving the way for Brevard’s December announcement that it would add the sport. “We’ve been talking about this for a long time and now it’s finally here. I think it’s a great move,” said Nelson. According to Nelson, the team will compete in a full schedule their first season, playing five tournaments in the fall and five more in the spring. The team will be fully funded to South Atlantic Conference limits, meaning that Nelson will have one and Cheryl Hodges Dunlap in Florida’s Apalachicola National Forest on Dec. 15 Searchers from the Transylvania Police Department found Irene’s body near a trail in the Pisgah National Forest on Nov.9.
