Page 2 News The Clarion \ Apr. 11, 2008 Reasons to Attend the Honors and Awards Ceremonies El burro loco by Drew Brennan Staff Contributor Each Spring Brevard College interrupts its academic schedule in order to celebrate and recognize individuals who demonstrate characteristics that we value as a community. It might be suggested that if a passerby, ignorant of the college, were to attend our Honors and Awards Ceremony, they would discover precisely what was important to us. It might also be said that if a member of our community was passionate about being a part of community, this day would hold special significance for them because in this sense they could support the good work that was being done by their peers. If you are looking to be involved and a part of the future of this college, attending the Honors and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 23'“* is a good place to begin. The Honors and Awards Ceremonies will take place next Wednesday and include a free picnic for students and staff and faculty. Your academic division will also host a special awards ceremony, separate from the all-campus gathering. Please consult the adjoining schedule for times and locations. Photo by M.
