Five of the cars were parked in the parking lot outsige of Boshamer Gymnasium, and the sixth was parked in the parking lot between Green Hall and the Dunham Music Center According to Jacobsen, no major items were taken, although the burglars did make it away with several car radios, some fishing tackle and a set of golf clubs. Jacobsen said that most of the cars were unlocked, but that one of the cars was broken into through the trunk. Campus security has added an extra patrolman during nighttime hours and the Brevard Pohce Department has assigned a detective to the case. Jacobsen also said that there was one car break-in in the Ingles parking lot over the weekend, and that it is possible that the perpetrators are going back and forth along the property hne. Anybody with any information regarding the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 862-7463. “We’re working pretty closely with the Brevard Pohce Department, and we spent the majority of last Friday tracking down people trying to get information.” Jacobsen said. “One of these break ins was during the afternoon, so obviously these people are pretty daring. The fact the Police Department has dedicated a detective to this means that this is pretty significant. We want to get this solved.” HAVE A GREAT FALL BREAK!!!
