BC student Chad Campbell receives
Community Impact Student Award

Chad Campbell of Brevard
College received the third annual
North Carolina Campus Compact
Community Impact Student Award
during the Compact’s Student
Conference held at High Point
University Saturday, November
8. Twenty-seven college students
across the state received the award
for making significant, innovative
contributions to their campus’
efforts to address local community
needs.

The Brevard College athletic
department confirmed Tuesday
that women’s head soccer coach
Liz Stojetz will not have her
contract extended after it expires
this year
The athletic department will
not release information as to why
Stojetz will not have her cointract
renewed.
"As always, the institution does
not comment on personnel changes
and therefore would not be able to
discuss specifics," Athletic Director
Kim Pate said when reached for
comment on Wednesday.
Coach Stojetz compiled a career
record of 21-64-5 over 5 years at
Brevard.
Prior to coming to Brevard,
Coach Stojetz was an assistant
coach at University of South
Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg,
South Carolina. During her final
season at Brevard, the Tornados
finished with a record 6-12-1,

Keyne, presented the award to
Campbell before an audience of
more than 250 college students
and guests representing 33 higher
education institutions. President
of High Point University, Dr Nido
Qubein, initiated the ceremony,
emphasizing the conference’s
theme, “The Power is Yours.”
Campbell, a senior majoring
in Environmental Science, is
passionate about environmental
issues, particularly sustainability
issues. He directly impacted the
campus through establishing and
operating a campus vegetable
garden. In addition, Campbell
volunteered a substantial amount
Women's soccer coach Liz Stojetz
will not be returning to caoch at
BC next season

Atlantic Conference campaign for
the team.
Men’s head soccer coach Juan
Mascaro has been named interim
head coach for the women’s team.
Assistant Coach Rebekah Mumm
will be handling the day-to-day
operations while the search for a
new coach continues.
According to Pate, the school is
hoping to have a new coach put
into place by early spring.

Committee (SAAC) will be hosting
KIDS NIGHT OUT on Friday,
November 21st, from 7:00PM
until 10:00PM in Boshamer Gym.
Parents who would want a night
out from their kids should bring
their kids, who would probably
want a night out from their parents,
as well, to this event. 5-13 years
