The beautiful thing about disc golf is that absolutely no ex perience is necessary. Most of our current members picked up the game in the past year or two. Only a minuscule amount of participa tion is mandatory, in fact the only official meeting is the first one, scheduled for Tuesday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m. in the MG lobby. There we will plan our Brevard exclu sive tournaments, as well as talk about our participation in the Western North Carohna intercollegiate league. No travehng is re quired, but the club hopes to attend several of the tournaments at nearby participating schools Points at the WNC tournaments are distributed by best scores as well as overall participation, so just by showing up you in crease Brevard College’s chance of winning (men are worth 1 point, and women 2). Even if you don’t plan on attending any tournaments and just have a vague interest in the sport you are encouraged to attend the meeting. More experienced players will be glad to schedule times to help begiimers on the course here at Brevard. If you don’t have a disc that’s ok too, our members as well as the school can provide discs on loan until you decide to make the investment (Discs are only about $9 for Brevard College students at Nah in downtown Brevard.) Again, if you are interested, the first meeting is Tuesday, September 15, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will only take about 10- 15 minutes. If you caimot make it, but are still interested, please send an e-mail to heymanda@brevard.edu.
