BC excels in cycling meet in Elk Banner

Brevard cycling traveled
to Banner Elk, N.C. last
weekend and competed
against 9 other schools
from the southeastern
region. Brevard raced well,
consistently placing a rider in
the top 3 in almost all races.
In the Men's downhill, Danny
Cesare placed second, mere
hundredths of a second
behind the winner. In the
men's cross country race,
Tristan Cowie fell behind with
bike problems, but moved
back through the field into
first place to win the race.
In the women's events, Jo
Tuttle palced 1st in downhill
and third in cross country.
Julia Tellman placed second
in hte cross country race
and third in the downhill.
The Tornados will be back in
Banner Elk this weekend for
another set of races.
