This spoof plays off of 1950’s sci-fi horror movies, originally starring Jack Nicholson, has become a musical and film remake that In this issue... The musical includes Seymour, played by David Bergman, who is an employee at a flower shop on Skid Row, who dreams of one day being with his coworker Audrey. Mr Mushnik is the owner of the shop and eventually decides to close it down after business becomes slow. Seymour then develops an interesting plant that he hopes wiU attract new visitors but only creates new problems after reahzing that it feeds on human blood. Kathryn Gresham and guest director Melissa Ricketts have taken the responsibility of working with the BC cast to ensure that the musical is a hit. Whitney Gruber, who is portraying the main character Audrey, says, “Little Shop of Horrors is a spoof that will keep the audience on their feet with the unique costumes, satirical dialogue, and wonderful music made from everyone in the cast.” The show has already sold out through Sunday, but if you have already purchased your tickets, prepare to be gasping from laughter during the play. pnoio counesy ~photo courtesy M.
