Nov. 13, 2009 I The Clarion — News BC students attend SLS Conference Page 3 by Dimitri McCloghry Staff Writer From November 6th to 7th, students involved in the T-Move organization on Brevard campus took part in the aimual Southeastern Student Leadership Conference, with Western Carolina University being this year’s host site. On the initial night of gathering, students arrived at the activities center at Western Carolina for a service project involving the making of blankets for different organizations that would then ship them to impoverished people across the U.S. On the following morning, the actual Conference took place, with seminars by professors and student presenters taking place throughout the campus. Topics ranged from acceptance to others in our environment, to leadership and interpersonal skills in both the academic and social scene. Food and drinks were provided, and students were given a chance to interact with other students from participating colleges. T-Move meets every Sunday night at 7:30 in the AEC. Visitors are welcome.
