This region continues to be in critical need of all blood types. Please consider this give of life. It takes courage and commitment to donate blood and I encourage everyone to do this if you are able. If you donate, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a cruise for two. Please respond to this email or call (884- 8244) to reserve a time to donate blood. It takes about an hour for the entire process and I am signing people up in 15 minute increments between the above hours. I usually have no volunteers during this drive, as it is the first day of exams, but welcome any help. Thank you! Senators show appreciation for club advisors by Jennifer Nyman Contributor Brevard College is extremely lucky to have great faculty members who take time to support the many clubs on campus. All advisors are appreciated, however; one faculty member that does an outstanding job and deserves to be recognized is Dee Dasburg. She is the advisor of not one, but three clubs on campus. These clubs are the Peer Health Advocate Team (PH AT), FCA, and Ninpo Taijutsu. When asking Dee why she is involved with all of these clubs she says, “I love working directly with students! In advising these clubs, I can support students in interests that are important to them as well as help develop leadership skills in current and future club officers. I love that we have so many great clubs on campus and am grateful for all the other faculty and staff advisors who support these clubs and organizations.” Club advisor appreciation is a senator project by Chris Dixon and Jennifer Nyman. Their goal is to make sure the advisors that are actively involved in clubs know how much the students appreciate it. If we did not have help from faculty our clubs would not be as successful as they are today. Takeout can eat up your savings.
