Dec. 9, 2011 I The Clarion Arts & Life Page 7 Karam's walk down memory lane Freshman Year (2007-2008) Sophomore Year (2008-2009) f00 Junior Year (2009-2010) Senior Year (2010-2011) It was my Russian roommate’s 21st birthday, so when he celebrated with his other Russian friends, but he had a littie too much to drink. In his drunkness, he walked in to our shared bathroom to greet one of the suite mates next door whiie he was taking a shower. He was not too happy with this unexpected surprise, but it got worse when my Russian roomrrate gave him a reai hard back siap as he was leaving the bathroom. Never had I seen my roommate so drunk. I got aiong pretty weil with my next roommate during my sophomore year. But one day when I came back to my room, I was surprised to hear someone baning on the bathroom. When I opened the door, it turned out I accidently locked my roommate in the bathroom for half an hour before i left my room to the cafeteria, thinking that the bathroom was empty. He obviously was not too happy about it, and I was reaily apoio- getic and embarassed. Fortunately, he got over it. Halfway during my Junior year, my roommate ieft after he compieted his final semester during the Fall semester, i thought i was going to be consoi- odated with another roommate, but with a stroke of luck, there was no other roommate available. So for the entire Spring semester, i had the room to myself without any private room charge, and it was a real nice privelege for me. Too bad, the year after, I had to go back to iiving with a room mate again. Late during the Spring, an usuaily loud and powerfui lightning struck a tree between the gym and the South Viliage. Everybody on campus and even in Brevard heard and feit the wrath of mother nature as everu buiiding shook. The lightning blew some windows in the gym. But it did the most damage in South Viilage 2, knocking out the power, blowing hoies in the ceiling and caused the sprinkies to go off which resuited in water damage. Fortunately my Viliage unit next door did not suffer any serious damage but I was pretty shoken up by this incident.
