The group, the "Yellow Scorpions," were accused of raping several boys. As revolutionary trials are be ing held in secrecy in Iran, with out the right to counsel or appeal for the accused, the facts of any particular case cannot be fully de termined. Amiri’s death brings to 300 the nxunber of people known to have been executed by firing squads since Ayatollah Khomeini’s rise to power in February. Two dozen of the executions have been termed punishment for sexual offenses, although Khomeini said in May that only persons convicted of murder or torture would be executed. RADIO REINSTATES BAPTIST Southern Baptist evangelist James Robison, whose Sunday morning pro gram was cancelled by Dallas station WFAA-TV after he criticized homosex uals has been reinstated by the sta tion. WFAA officials cancelled the pro gram early this yeair, calling Robison a "continuing problem." In Robison's February 25 program he quoted a Na tional Enquirer article that c[uoted a law enforcement official as saying homosexuals recruit and murder lit tle boys. According to the Durham Morning Herald, WFAA officials say they were forced to give the Dallas Gay Poli tical Caucus free time to defend gay lifestyles following the broad cast. Station president Dave Lane, also a Southern Baptist, says Robison has offered cissurances he can stay with in the WFAA policy bounds.
