t OKC o FELLOWSHIP :;■ •}> 4). ■ The Lord-get to know Him I want the world to know that the Lord makes all things new. I am a new being since the Lord and I became good friends. It is only through surrendering myself to the Lord that I began to view the world from a different perspective. Now I see the Lord’s hand in all things. The funny thing is, He loved me and watched over me before I knew Him. He had blessed me academically. socially and in many other ways. So for those who feel the Lord isn’t real or has no control of their lives, get to KNOW HIM. Let Him teach you and you will also have a new view on yourself and life. Varonda Hopkins P.S. Smile, God loves you! Psalm 34 I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continuously be in my mouth. 2. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear thereof and be glad. 3. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. 4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5. They looked unto Him, and were lightened; and their faces were not ashamed. 6. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7. The angel of the Lord encamf>eth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. 8. 0 taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man that trusteth in Him . . . God loves us all Do you know that God loves us all? Let’s look at how. God offers the gift of salvation to each and everyone of us. Why?—Because He loves us. He knows what’s best for our lives, if we could only realive that! (We includes me, too) Nevertheless, God doesn’t force His will on ahyone. Now that amazes me at times. Yet, I realize that it’s because He loves us so much that He respects our rights. However, God is also righteous, and one day the world will be judged according to His righteousness. He is giving us all a chance to receive salvation, but, if when He returns to judge the world we haven’t received His precious offer of salvation, then Hell will be our home. If we choose to go God’s way we’ll have heaven as our everlasting home. You and I both need to think about this— SERIOUSLY. Darlene Smith God is so good! God is so good. God is so good; God is so good. He’s so go^ to me! The words to this simple little song are so true! So many times, when I’m down I think about the truth of these words. God is with us . . . always! Halleujah! What a promise! Harriet Vess Praise God! All my life I’d gone through life Wondering what life was about. Caterpillars to butterflies Their t>eauty born in death. Stretch and yawn, a whole new start and wing the sun’s warm breath. This miracle to me now seems To best express my cause— To really live, you first must die. Before starting you must stop and pause. Before the Lord you have but self Before life you merely exist. To really live you must be bom. To continue you must persist. Now I see there was no life Before I came to live. Therefore, no meaning could I find— Without life there’s no meaning to give. In Christ alone is there peace. In Him only will you find release. Before he flew the catepiller crawled And so it is for us all. Praise God!! Sheir Turner The Lord is real! The Lord is very real to me. Just lately coming to college and meeting new Christian friends I have felt His presence nearer to me than ever. I know that with Jesus by my side I may stumble but never fall. He is there for me and everyone who wants Him, to turn to when the going gets tough. I thank Him once again for dying for me and giving me the chance to live for Him. Tavia Hutchins Consider the Lillies Alma Roberts The lilies of the field do little worrying about what they will become. The sparrows of the air are seldom fretful as each day unfolds. It is I alone who worry over unimportant things, and in my worried, fearful state I make myself unable to become that which I fear I will not be! Give Lavishly! Helen Steiner Rice The more you give the more you get The more you laugh the less you fret— The more you do unselfishly The more you live abundantly . . . The more of everything you share The more you’ll always have to spare— The more you love, the more you’ll find That life is good and friends are kind . For only what we give away. Enriches us from day to day.
