The workshop, sponsored by the UNC-CH School of Social Work, will focus on social policy, with topics including empowerment and social welfare, maternal and child health care, the black elderly, support through networking, single parent families and the black underclass. The workshop is titled "The Black Experience: Politics, Policies and Social Welfare." All sessions will be in the Student Union. The Women's Health Counseling Service will have office hours every Saturday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, beginning February 26, at the Orange County Commission for Women, 131 Court Street, Hillsborough. We offer prenancy screenings ($1.00 by appointment) and counseling and referrals on women's health issues. For an appointment or more information, call 968-4647, Monday through Friday.
