Editor's Note
I hope everyone enjoyed the first issue
of the Black Ink in its new form. The spring
1996 staff and 1 would like welcome all of
you once again to take a look inside Chapel
Hill’s African American mind set. We hope
that the last issue and the one you are about
to embark on lives up to the lega^ of the
founders of the Black Ink, in 1969.
We have placed articles in this issue
which deal with the matters of the heart,
mind, and body. The articles seek to
enlighten, empower, and entertain every
reader through words and pictures. We
hope to entice our readers with a Black Ink
that screams "style.”
This style is ready to challenge every
reader to reexamine their creativity, intel
lect, and dedication to the upliftment of
Blacks at UNC-CH and around the world.
Once again, the members of the 1996 staff
welcome you to a new experience and a
higher level of journalism. We hope you
mentally and physically act upon what you
have read. A special thanks to my design
team, especially KimShala, you are a savior
and we really will miss you next year.
Good Luck.
